Meyer’s Longsword – Analysis of Right Pflug

  1. The left foot is turned slightly out.
  2. The right foot is more than 90 degrees back.
  3. The heels are in line with each other.
  4. The back is in line with the rear leg.
  5. The head is inclined upward.
  6. The front knee is bent so that it is over the toe.
  7. The long edge (red) is turned inwards slightly.
  8. Both arms hang loosely, the left slightly bent.
  9. The right hand is over, or slightly past, the front knee.
  10. The right hand is cupping the handle.
  11. The thumb is along the short edge.
  12. The left hand is holding the pommel from behind.
  13. The point is level with the armpit.
